Our investment in a state-of-the-art fleet of lorries with mounted cranes (hiabs) means that we can offer an adaptable, cost-effective and reliable delivery service to save our customers time and money. A hiab is a term used for trucks with a crane that is mounted on a heavy, modified truck chassis. Hiab crane trucks allow us to deliver customers’ steels into those hard-to-reach areas.
The newest edition to our fleet is our most impressive lorry yet. As well as a monster 29 metre reach and a fly jib, it also has the fantastic added benefit of a winch - which will be a real game changer!
The winch allows for the long-reach Hiab to extend over obstacles and deliver the load directly to ground level. This ability gives us much greater flexibility and access to numerous sites, making it ideally suited for transporting and delivering steels to construction sites with restricted access.
